How to Enable Dark Theme on Facebook Messenger for Android and iOS
Facebook has kept the feature as a little easter egg which is very funny to discover. Here is how to find the secret Dark theme toggle for the Facebook messenger.
1.Open the Facebook Messenger app on your smartphone and send moon emoji (🌙) to any of your friends. If you don’t want to disturb your friend, you can also send the same message to yourself.
2. After sending the message, Facebook will notify you that you have ‘Found Dark Mode!.‘ Tap on ‘TURN ON IN SETTINGS‘ button and you will be taken to the Facebook Messenger setting.
3. Here you can see a new ‘Dark Mode’ toggle. Turn on this setting by tapping on the toggle.
4. You will get a gentle reminder to remind you that this dark mode feature is still under progress.
5. Tap on ‘OK‘ button and the dark mode theme will get in play. Now you can see a beautifully designed dark theme for your Facebook messenger.
For this article, I used my Android phone, but the process is the same for iPhone/iPad or iOS users as well.
