Direct LED backlighting combined with an integrated ambient light sensor allows for adaptable panel brightness depending on environmental conditions. This means that if the display senses higher lux during brighter hours of the day, the display will show a brighter image. At night when the ambient light is much less, the display will dim down, saving overall power consumption. Special quarter lambda polarizer is integrated onto the panel of this display that allows for the display to be seen in any type of orientation even when a customer is wearing polarized sunglasses.
